Trans and gender-diverse youth have the highest risk of suicide after they discover their identity but before they undergo gender-affirming care. Danielle Smith's government would have learned this while preparing the law announced today.

Every legislator who voted for this bill should be criminally charged for every suicide resulting from the unreasonable delay in providing gender-affirming care that will result from this law.

Make no mistake: The UCP is fully aware that they are harming children. This law is completely ideological, motivated by a fanatical hatred for people who dare to be different.
