Help needed:

I have to give a two hour lecture in 20th century American history to Danish first year BA history students.

I can assign two-three articles or book chapters (60-80 pages).

What would you suggest I make them read?

All two/three texts combined should cover most of the 20th century.

(For the rest of the course they read A World History of Societies by McKey et al. It doesn't cover this period in the US probably because it's written in the US...illogical but a fact)
