WAITING FOR THE ? TRAIN (2009)
#NewYork #NewYorkCity #NYC

This was the last time I visited New York. I still think it's the most amazing city I've ever had time spending in. I wonder if I'll make it back there one day. Or anywhere else in the States ever. A couple of years ago, that thought wouldn't have even crossed my mind, but yeah, 2025... :-(

Going there as a child with my family in the 60s, travelling around everywhere with my old band in the 80s, I got to experience so many amazing things and meet such wonderful folks. I miss it, still.

To all my pals in the USA, hope y'all have a nice, safe 4th.

Fun merch activity, too. Official t-shirts inside were MX$700 (about A$65). Outside, MX$200.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs were phenomenal tonight. Sort of a semi-acoustic set with string quartet and occasional rock-out. Gold Lion was incredible, Maps was somehow better.

Anyone out there use Cloudflare for hosting and streaming large quantities of videos? Would be very interested in streaming quality and reliability of service. DM me if necessary - thank you!

Mexico City really is full of weird and wonderful things. There's a high pitched whistle that we've heard on the streets in the evenings - turns out it's a lovely fellow wheeling around a pressure cooker on wheels. The whistle relieves the pressure and alerts the locals that he's here.

Today I intercepted him to find out what he's cooking and selling. Turns out it's sweet potatoes and bananas, he drizzles concentrated milk on top along with chocolate sprinkles or cinnamon. Mystery solved!

Look, I know AI is controversial, but just for a moment, let's set aside our preconceived notions, our biases, the environmental impact, the massive cost to train and run models, the labor exploitation, the intellectual property theft, the inaccuracies, the mania it causes in users, the destruction of search, the deskilling of professionals, the devaluation of creative work, job losses, and lack of economic value from enterprise implementations.

Wait, what were we talking about?
At some point I need to wipe the dead mosquitos off the wall so I can more easily spot the live ones #airbnb

I often crop my photos in an effort to make them more abstract/composed/whatever but that means I sometimes can't even remember what it was a photo of to begin with.

I started looking through uncropped versions of photos and thought it was interesting to see how they started and how they ended up, so I figured I'd share some examples.

These are all color to black and white because they show the biggest difference from start to finish.
