@nommo Yes! I'm just looking out the window at some now actually, not sure if it's the same ones. They certainly bring some joy to a grey, drizzly day.
@joeharkness Love Dunnocks and am lucky to have one living in my garden at the moment. He's been there a couple of months at least and gets regularly harassed by the resident robin if he goes near the base of the feeders but is so placid and keeps coming back. He also loves looking for spiders under my Sage plant!
@smashtie How lovely! Yes it's great how they seem to survive anywhere from streets to mountains to forests! I've just this minute seen a Brambling in the one next to my house. The cold weather is drawing all the birds to it today!
@smashtie Yes, same here. They look good in all seasons and a so resilient too. The ones on my street coped with the summer drought really well and they hold up to winter storms too. Apparently it's good luck to have one near your house so another good reason to grow one! 😊
Just heard a strange rattle sound outside my bedroom window and looked out to see a Mistle Thrush enjoying some Rowan berries. There are Rowan trees all along my street & at this time of year they're visited regularly by lots of members of thrush family, starlings + other birds. A fantastic tree all year round - every street should have some! 💚
@WildHorizons Yes it was really nice thanks 😊. Was hoping for somewhere a bit wilder and away from the madding crowd ideally but my youngest girl has been under the weather this weekend so this was a nice gentle walk not too far away. The girls love the deer & I was happy to spot some fungi!
@WildHorizons Absolutely! She feels a lot better this evening, thanks. Yes, amazing trees there - some are so old and they do seem to take good care of them all as well. 🌳🌳🌳
