Sarcasm runs deep in this one

There is nothing unclear about the threat to democracy by Republicans, even though we’ve escaped the most pressing threat for now.

If a people don’t choose their own representatives, then they’re not self-governed, which means they are not free.

Votes for the GOP are votes to never vote again. Rather, they’re votes to be told what to do by people who have appointed themselves one's overlords. Nobody who genuinely believes in freedom affiliates with the GOP anymore. Nobody.

Republican voters should care about this, too, and thwart this large wing of their party or better yet, leave it altogether. Someday, you might change your mind about how you want to vote. Someday, you might not agree with the party. Someday, your kids might not. It would be good to make sure there are free elections then.

Remaining silent when he was Secretary of Defense makes Mattis an enabler. Now he want's to be seen as a defender of the Constitution. His condemnation rings hollow. Too little, too late.

He's right but this was no less true when Mattis could have done something about it and he knows it.

James Mattis Denounces Trump as Threat to Constitution

In an extraordinary condemnation, the former defense secretary backs protesters and says the president is trying to turn Americans against one another.

So glad all 4 cops have been arrested. The government isn't going to help this society repair itself and begin to address hundreds of years of systemic racism - we're gonna have to start doing it together, without them. Maybe after the election, we can get the system (in systemic) to start to implement some of the countless large and small changes we're gonna need to make more progress. One night of peaceful protest isn't going to make it better, but it's a start. Good Luck. #blm
The man who sheltered 80 US protesters

Hundreds of people found themselves trapped by police - until one resident flung open his doors.

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.
@IronMan Leaders understand the importance of empathy during hard times

Also, Trump doesn't make gaffes quite so much as outright attack POC. He attacks many people outright, really.
