That’s a Both Sides framing.

The ERA bill did not fail in the Senate today, it was filibustered by the Republicans. The Framing that it failed in the Senate is a way to distribute the failure to Both Sides.

The hostage note that K-Mac passed today is another one; not one Democrat voted for it, so the Republicans passed that bill, not The House.

Ron DeSantis blames the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, and by extension Signature Bank, on DEI.

When you reduce all of the world’s challenges to one thing, namely wokeness, it spares you the burden of thinking critically.

Since the Murdoch family launched Fox "News" several decades ago, Big Journalism has consistently endorsed the fiction that the outlet is journalistic in nature. There was an element of truth to that early on.

But for the past decade and longer, Fox "News" has been a thoroughly dishonest, relentless propagandist. It accumulates power and money by poisoning our public sphere.

Yet the journalism trade persists in calling it a news outlet, compounding the dishonesty.

It's disheartening.
