@druid "It sounded autistic for a while but then it started making more and more sense and now i can't go back"
@druid Look out he's gonna reel you in and before you can escape he'll tell you about esoteric skyrim lore that reads like a dissertation on metaphysics in a 19 page long post
@nik I've never been so simultaneously excited and panicked
@rye Love it. Floods me with memories of jumping and Nairing my friends until they died last week in study hall.
@Eidolon0 @DetectiveHyde @thinkpad @solidsanek i am analyzing what else he could have bought with the money he spent on jpegs
@GoldPeaPuffer @DetectiveHyde @thinkpad @solidsanek But some people don't! If you understand what tooth-brushing does and opt not to do it, so be it, that's your problem. But in states like WV for example, as mentioned before, some people are so ill-educated that they fail to understand the importance. Wouldn't helping people become more accountable and self-sufficient in general by investing in education and so on be better for the quality of life of society in the long term rather than using a blanket solution that patches only one of myriad problems stemming from the same source?
@GoldPeaPuffer @DetectiveHyde @thinkpad @solidsanek I'd just much rather that we would focus on educating people on brushing their teeth instead of trying to enforce dental health in a hamfisted manner that fails to empower anyone to take control of their own general health anyway
@GoldPeaPuffer @DetectiveHyde @thinkpad @solidsanek You spit out toothpaste, but even so if you wanted to be puritan about it and not use any fluoride the brushing does the vast majority of the job. The long-term exposure to trace amounts of it in all of the water you drink that is deliberately added in active concentrations is a whole different story.

Lead, mercury, arsenic, and so on can also be found in lakes and rivers but that doesn't mean that in elevated concentrations those substances aren't harmful.
@DetectiveHyde @solidsanek @thinkpad I will say though- fluorine is an incredibly ornery element, to the point that in high enough concentrations it VIOLENTY FUCKING EXPLODES under normal atmospheric conditions and reacts with most of the common elements life is made of...

So why the fuck would anyone get the idea that that's good to put up in your water? Could that POSSIBLY, JUST MAYBE, interfere with body systems? Just brush your fucking teeth idiot
