Just make an account on a different instance. That’s a lot easier than making one of your own.

I’d recommend either Sh.itjust.works, sopuli.xyz, Lemmy.ca, or Lemmy.dbzer0.com.

Sopuli is primarily Finnish, and Lemmy.ca Canadian, but both state that they’re open and welcoming to all.

I’m on sh.itjust.works and it’s been great.

The problem is that these communities literally linked to nothing. It’s against their rules. So no laws were being broken.

Lemmy.ca users have been saying that anyone’s welcome, regardless of where they’re from. Sopuli.xyz is really solid too, and also welcomes everyone.

I’m on sh.it just.works and have enjoyed it a lot. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter a whole lot, you can still join all the communities you did before. So which instance you choose isn’t a massive deal.

You mean that screenshot showing the one instance of it ever happening? It broke the rules of the community and was taken down.
