First ripe strawberry of the year, with plenty more to come!

The air and sea temperatures are going up and it was a gorgeous morning for a swim even with an easterly wind blowing into the bay. Only problem is that everyone else has started coming in the water too! (Not pictured: a couple more paddleboarders and our rival cold water swimming group, off to the left of this shot.)

I just won a baby oak tree and a load of fruit in a pub quiz, with just me and one of my oldest friends in the team (under the influence of a lot of cider), and I am feeling somewhat shell-shocked. And delighted!

Lovely weather for ducks. (Thankfully the rain only came on this hard near the end of my walk.

Apologies to my TBR pile but this very shiny new book by L R Lam has just gone right to the top. (Seriously, the cover is soooo shiny, the photo does not do it justice.)
