Remember, your definition of value matters more than your definition of done
Vague or ambiguous terms often end up functioning as verbal Rorschachs. Politicians (and executives) use this intentionally to increase perceived agreement and dampen controversy. Even in product work, however, the more vague the term, the more illusory the perceived alignment.

Your corporate mythology is your desired cultural image. Corporate sorcery is the narrative work you do to manufacture and sustain your mythology. The result is a particular narrative matrix.
Critical theory and analysis is the process of learning to see the narrative matrix you are in and work with it by taking on different lenses. This can alter the size and location of the organization's Overton Window.
New article. Solving deep issues requires sufficiently diverse failure. This is how you paint the contours of the box you're in. If you don't expose and challenge assumptions, then the box remains invisible. You can't think outside a box you don't see. Premature success has an opportunity cost. You will accrue learning debt in the long run.
