@Gerrarrdus Yup, same. (And, oh, the horror, the family from the Big House still used the private entrance and side chapel a couple of times a year 😱)
@Gerrarrdus In my curacy, one of the churches had a separate entrance, to a side chapel, so the family from the Big House could come directly across, join in the service and leave again, without having to mix with any of the low born types.

@Gerrarrdus Even I could just about manage that, I reckon. It's no wonder clergy from back then could be famous botanists or novelists or philosophers. Nothing much else to do.

I have a friend on instagram who's super into Breyer horses and like, I know fuck-all about either real horses or plastic ones but she does these explainers about the hobby that are always a delight to read
Post about your hobbies. It's okay to take up space. Delight somebody with details.
