My FIL just knew that the covid shots were going to kill my wife and I. The goalposts kept moving after we survived each alleged length of time without dying. Last one was “You’ll die in 30 years because of the covid vaccine”.
Wtf? I ride a motorcycle. And I’m in my 40’s. I spend time in small aircraft sometimes. I’m 100% positive I’ll die in the next 30 years from something.
My wife tells me that’s what attracted her to me. She said I could hold a conversation and listen.
Which is also what attracted me to her. She could talk and had her own mind. “Treat each other like humans” seems like an easy ask but I apparently scooped up the best wife ever because nobody had done that before.
I have a Mirage G4. It has a five speed transmission. It does not have internet connectivity, it doesn’t have a touchscreen, it doesn’t have keyless ignition, it doesn’t even have a fourth cylinder. It’s as reliable as a hammer, it still gets me over 40 mpg, and it’s paid for.
Dream vehicle? Any motorcycle. I have one, and I ride it sometimes, but I have a family that cares I’m alive and a lot of you seem to need a phone in your face to drive a car…
Having a couple dozen chickens is much different than having 500,000 chickens.
I’ve felt that but I haven’t really put it into words. My flock of modern dinosaurs gets to run around and eat all the ticks while standing in the sun and digging in the dirt. I’ve never had chickens before these, and the thing that surprised me is that they aren’t mindless balls of feathers. They have personalities. They communicate. They make lots of dinosaur noises too.
I’ve been reading about meat chickens, and you’re pretty much right. They grow for about 8 weeks, and then they’re bound for the nugget factory. If you try to keep them after that they aren’t healthy or happy at all.
Border collies are cool. Dad has one. We are into archery, and our range is next to the yard where the pup lives. That dog is intent on those arrows. She can’t catch one, they’re too fast, but she tries every time. She stares at the arrow on the bow, and when we shoot she will take a couple of steps toward the arrow as it flies, and then gives up at stares down the next arrow. She’s also fun with radio controlled cars.
