I can’t speak for lasers, but if you want to try something less permanent but -much- cheaper, to see how well it works for you or how you like it before you commit to laser, pick up an IPL device (intermittent pulses of light). It works similarly, but if you stop using it for a long time, the hair eventually grows back. Mostly.

Once you get it to the point that it’s not growing anymore, which is like 2-4 months of use as directed by the device itself, depending on your hair/skin combo and the strength of light you use (which in full fairness, it does start as a several-times-weekly commitment) you only need to do spot treatments every few months, which I understand is something you have to do with laser anyway every 6-12 mths, this is just a bit more frequent. If you stop using it entirely, you’ll start to get noticeable regrowth after about 6 mths, but it could stay thin for years. I have some places I stopped doing and they are still noticeably thinner and finer than places that never got treated at all, 5+ years on.

The one I bought was like $125 usd a decade back, so they can be pretty affordable, and might be all you ever want to use since you can do it on your own time.

Meanwhile, I just picked up 40tb of new drives to add to the ~30tb I currently have, between 3 desktops and 2 laptops.

If you like web comics, the story for goblins is quite good.

About exactly what this thread is about (fewer shinies)! (At least as far as I’ve read it)

Goblins - 06/25/2005

Goblins is the story of a fantasy rpg through the eyes of the low-level monsters.

Oh man I loved happy tree friends, but I definitely never saw it on tv, only their website and YouTube, and I was in highchool when it came out.
Mine’s also x-files, but the cockroach wall one. I think it’s a much later season episode, scully may have been pregnant? But I have no interest in finding it. It gave me a roach phobia. And then when I was an adult, I learned in the south they are MUCH bigger than up north here, and they can fly, and I learned this because one flew into my apartment through the porch door and just crawled around on my wall by the lamp, and was extra horrified.
I see ads for beans all the time here on Lemmy, they are just disguised as memes.
I wonder how many of the remaining 95 missing episodes even still exist at all. It’s amazing to find them so long after they were created and destroyed, I just wonder if it’s even possible to finish out the collection. 95 is a lot to maybe find one or two at a time, when the search is global.
This is what happens in the area I was looking to move to.. at that point I’d just have myself removed from the grid entirely. Fuck that nonsense.
If you, as a passenger, notice no difference in service, because they still find someone to cover the ride in the big pool of potential drivers who aren’t women who only drive for women, does it actually matter if some of the drivers are personally refusing to serve you? Have you actually been discriminated against by the service? Would you even know the difference? I doubt it.

Perhaps it’s more to do with being slightly “immature” in hard to identify ways.

What I mean is that people on the spectrum tend to… not recognize or not care that their behaviors aren’t “mature adult” stuff. It’s all just window dressing anyway, and if it doesn’t really matter, why put in the effort to conform? It’s just another mask.

So you’ll see a lot more visible emotion, not the strict regulation expected of adults. You’ll see a lot more action out of the body than you would with a stoic neurotypical adult. You’ll see a more rigid dress aesthetic that’s probably at least somewhat frozen in whatever time period the person figured themselves out, and thus isn’t the aesthetic of their temporal peers.

Stuff like that makes a person seem younger without necessitating looking any different, tho coupled with the underuse of expression making the face also look younger, it would certainly be amplified.
