Good evening. It's hair of the dog time. I enjoyed several adult beverages last night including absinthe, three or four cocktails and a pint of Guinness. As drunk as I was (seeing double, walking unsteadily but not falling over) I've been mostly un-hungover today. Surprisingly so. Result!
After having forgotten about this place for a while, coming back and finding many notifications.

I found the setting, not in preferences where you might think. It's here, and there's a slider for every kind of notification. All turned off now.
The Christmas cake is going to have an American flavour to it this year. I haven't been able to get to the place where I usually buy the mixed peel so I'm using sweetened dried cranberries, and bourbon instead of Scottish whisky. I do have glacé cherries though.
Has anyone worked out yet how to turn off sounds? I don't want that little *bloop* sound appearing if I'm recording something with Audacity.
