Samsung Galaxy Earbuds SM-R170 - sh.itjust.works

Bought these earbuds originally in 2019 and I have not been disappointed. I have tried several other types and brands but none of them come close to the sound quality or durability of these bad boys! The noise cancellation is also fantastic on them as well as the battery life. They’re a bit hard to track down now as Samsung have stopped selling them and only sell the newer versions, unfortunately. Be aware that some of the newer versions do not fit airtight in the ears, which means no noise cancellation. I’ve also recently tried Google Buds and the difference between the audio quality is night and day. Where the Google Buds are tinny with no noise cancellation, the Samsung Buds are deep and rich, with fantastic noise cancellation. Overall, highly recommended!

Tiktok alternatives on Fediverse? - sh.itjust.works

I’m just wondering if there is some sort of alternative to Tiktok on the Fediverse? I understand that something like Tiktok needs a critical mass of users, but just curious if someone has attempted it?

No push notifications? - sh.itjust.works

Is there going to be an option for push notifications on the future? I don’t care about push notifications on most social media, but it’s nice to see when I get replies and DMs on here.

People who don't charge their phone at night... Why? - sh.itjust.works

My wife’s phone dies every. single. day. and I don’t know why she doesn’t just charge it at night. I’m just wondering how people live like this 😅

Currently almost finished of Jade City and it's just interesting enough to keep me going. Very interesting take on a magic system being like a drug, but this one is mostly about political intrigue.

If you wanted a story about an alternate history Japan with drug-magic powered Yakuza clans, then this book is for you!

So nice lol

Wow, I hadn't even heard about the Twitter DMs, that's really ridiculous.

And I think federated sites like Lemmy and kbin are the future of the internet, I mean, no ads, decentralized, and I mean we were already making all of the content on Reddit so it's not like we need them for anything when we have Lemmy.

I just don't get why people work against their own interests, people are just so weird

Haha yeah, I feel like we all saw that coming though.

Until people start to really migrate to a federated alternative these big companies are going to keep having control.
