Feel very lucky to still be able apply for the #ERCCoG scheme from @[email protected] and hope the @[email protected] can push for a renewed association with our friends and colleagues in Europe.

Hugely grateful for the work of @[email protected] lab members and support of colleagues @[email protected]/@LES_UniBham, and particularly @[email protected], without whom this would almost certainly not have been possible.

Excited to work with a new team of collaborators including @[email protected], @[email protected], @[email protected] and Radek Cichy. We will be mapping out there where and when in the brain, and the role of dopamine, in how we sometimes avoid effort, but at other times seek it.

Delighted (and still a little shocked) to have been awarded a €2m ERC Consolidator Grant to examine the psychological, computational and neural mechanisms of the effort paradox, continuing @[email protected]'s research on motivation for 5 more years.
