Book two of The Inheritance Trilogy. What is life for a fallen god punished for his betrayal?

I love NK Jemisin. I read the Broken Earth trilogy last year and I’m on book 3 of The Inheritance trilogy right now. This was her first trilogy and I can definitely see where her skills improved, but I still just love the writing and the world building that she creates. Complex characters and stories.
