It's not conspiratorial to think Elon is a lying liar who lies. It drives me insane how many people accept this framing of as it doesn't match the reality you see with your very eyes. It's broken and janky, and whether tweets load or not feels totally random. Someone yesterday reported that they bought Twitter blue just to see if more tweets would load and it didn't happen, it remained just as broken. These numbers feel completely arbitrary and made up.

What bothers me the most about Twitter is not that it's shitting the bed, I saw that as inevitable. My issue is how media is accepting this narrative that 'oh, Twitter just implemented some changes.' like, maybe they did but that's not the fucking story. The site is obviously broken for reasons this narrative doesn't explain. There are reports that the site is ddosing itself somehow, and that Elon isn't paying his bills for the infrastructure to keep it running. Reporting is just 'elon says...'
