@goodblue aww, poor Phil Knight. Glad to see that ratf**king the race with a third party candidate who never stood a chance of winning is not a viable election strategy there.
@brendannyhan Agreed. I thought for sure higher milk & gas prices would be more of a concern than losing our democracy because I've lost faith in most people's continuing interest in self government. Glad to be wrong here. The GOP has become absolutely toxic. For whatever reason it just hasn't shown up in public polling.

An absolutely stunning night for democrats and, frankly, a great night for democracy. Election deniers were largely rejected nationwide and the country showed there is no interest in the gutter politics that have come to define the MAGA movement. Very proud of my country this morning.
@goodblue he's under a lot of pressure now to delay his 2024 announcement until after the GA runoff. After his disastrous night he may want to delay it indefinitely but I'm sure that won't happen. This is a perfect time for Garland to drop an indictment.
@KotMinou I'm sure all the younger Americans who can't be bothered to turn out today will be more than willing to take to the streets when the GOP led House refuses to certify the 2024 Dem Presidential winner. Although maybe not. I'm not even sure anymore
@KotMinou the story line is that women (and Trump-Biden voters in general) will drift back to the GOP without trump on ballot because of inflation and higher gas prices. It's hard to wrap your head around that simply because trump was only a symptom of a rotting GOP, not the cause
