Twitter's paid userbase under Elon Musk is so incredibly toxic that they want to hide their likes? Musk has been burned by this more than anybody I can think of and I think that's probably at the heart of it, rather than his racist, moronic fanbase.

We'll see if it actually happens. First, Musk promises changes that never materialize all the time. Remember when all major changes would be put up to Twitter poll? Remember when Twitter polls would be fir paid users only?

The only #polls that matter are state polls that ask people who were going to vote for convicted felon #Trump before this if it changed their mind. National polls like this are completely worthless. We don't elect presidents by national popular vote. 👎🏻

Battleground and swing state polls are what you want. How many Indys and Repubs in Florida were going to vote for Trump before his conviction, but won't now? That could be the election *right there*. #2024election

This right here is actual banana republic crap. Trump has to appeal to the NY court Appellate Division first, then the NY Court of Appeals (their highest court), then fed. district court, then the 2nd Circuit BEFORE SCOTUS can even THINK about touching this.

And even then the federal courts including SCOTUS can only hear federal questions (e.g. Constitutional). They can't consider ANYTHING other than that (did Merchan follow NY law?). SCOTUS doesn't have the authority to hear things like that.

I have no idea what The Atlantic's reach is, but after being fired from Fox News we do know that Carlson's reach plummeted to comparatively little. Twitter "views" are a meaningless metric and as we've now seen, something like 75% of Twitter's traffic these days are bots.

With Twitter, merely having a retweeted video scroll by on your screen without interacting with it or stopping to let it play counts as a "view". Twitter's idea of what constitutes a video view is laughably stupid.

1. Presidential elections are not decided by popular vote (though they should be) and because of that, national polls are worthless.

2. Polls 1+ year out are meaningless to the point of being insulting.

3. Polls ever since 2014 have been crap.
