Why did #atari solder the floppy cable to the motherboard? Made replacing the cable really hard work:(. Upgrade to #gotek for my #atarist in progress. Cable replaced and oled inatalled

I have 2 #atari 800xl boards,same revision, one has this mod on the back. Any ideas what it's for? It looks like it's smoothing the RF output from its location? #retrocomputers #atari800xl
