Visually impaired, queer, autistic, ADHD and mentally ill. I have a Pomeranian called Milla who I’m attempting to train as an assistance dog. I’m a psychology with counselling graduate from The Open University and have an interest in the mental health field. I’m a tea addict, love reading and spending time in nature. I play various instruments, I have quite a collection, do craft, pottery and needle felting.

Ok so I have a small brick of wet white clay. Anyone have any suggestions what I could make out of this? I've run out of ideas on my own. I have until Thursday to do it. And I don't have a lot of the tools that I would if I was at the class, I have some basics and a few carving tools. #pottery #blindArtists #claywork
Amya hopes you have a lovely Thursday and get to nap as much as you need. 😺
Question for blind people with longer hair. Is there a way I could cut it myself and have it look at least semi decent? Haircuts are crazy expensive and I don't have the spoons to keep asking someone to go with me and all that bs but I need rid of my long hair. Any advice or resources appreciated.
My guest is rather noisy 😺
Housemate had new fridge delivered today. An amazingly awful amount of non recyclable plastic and packing foam has to come off the shelves and drawers before it can be turned on. And yet individual people are criticised if they don't recycle everything properly. We can't win here.
Since my mona is losing posts into the void and I'm not paying for the new one, please throw me recommendations for an iPhone app for mastodon that works well with voiceover? Virtual cookies or cake offered as thanks.
Time for a bit of blind photography. I let Milla up on my bed for the first time since her surgery and this is how I know she thoroughly approves.
Scrolling and focus issues are getting worse on @MonaApp when using voiceover. I hate to be a complainer but can someone please either explain why this is happening and or fix it? I will have to find a new app if this continues and I'd really rather not.
Seriously annoyed with the scrolling bug with @MonaApp and voiceover where it shows you're focused on one post and you go to favourite or repost and it's something completely different. The only reliable way is to click into a post, interact and then click back to the timeline. I make a prat of myself liking random posts unfortunately.
It's been a while since I've shared any pianola playing. The other day I finally found a roll that's not going wonky so I recorded it yesterday. Not sure what the song is, reminds me of a happy pub tune or something. I am so lucky to have this thing in my room. This might also be the wrong speed for the song but I can't see the numbers on the speed leaver. And excuse the creaky pedals!
