"Very Special" Audition Submission - DUE MAY 22, 2023 - Everly Heights Productions
Greetings! We're very excited to see your auditions for our first production, Very Special. Thanks to our sponsors Streann Studio and RunPod, this will be a paid non-union voice acting opportunity. Our recording sessions will be over a video call, and you'll be paid a fee for every session. We're still working out the details on compensation, but we will pay you for your time and if our pilot gets us funding for a full season your payment will go up. Bottom line, the majority of our budget is going to talent. SUBMISSIONS DUE MAY 22, 2023. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR HOME RECORDING While this audition is all about your acting, we're also looking to make sure your recording equipment and environment are compatible with our virtual production process. A good home audio setup - A decent mic for Zoom and headphones should be fine. Any webcam - We're using motion tracking to bring your physicality to the animated characters, so we'll need video. It doesn't have to be 4K or anything. Reliable internet with a good connection - Wired, no wi-fi. A quiet environment with a plain background - A blank wall or a sheet hung up behind you should be fine HOW TO SUBMIT First, grab the AUDITION SIDES. There are three scene packets that focus on the main characters (Packet A: Zara Special, Packet B: Ricky Special, and Packet C: Michael/Jennifer Special), but include several side characters. Select a character (Zara, Ricky, Michael, Jennifer) from Step 1 and record at least two scenes from that character's packet. I recommend having somebody off-camera read with you. Make sure you say your name and the character's name before every read. Pick 1-2 side characters (The Sparkles, Sinnimon Slush, Mr. Matheson, Nosloo the Great, Jerome, Abby) you think you'd be a good fit for, then record a scene they appear in. Upload your video audition somewhere (YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and submit the link/links below. Fill out the short questionnaire. Click Submit! ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT Everly Heights is a "cinematic universe" of films and TV shows set in a small town in Ohio called Everly Heights.
