I’ve decided that I sometimes need music when I bike, because drivers really make me scared and anxious. I need music some days.
This comes after a particularly intense road rage incident last Monday- one driver aggressively close-passed me
And nearly took me out, and another right behind him decided to follow me for a mile honking at me.)

So my heat pump compressor died after just 10 months… 🙄
Today I took a different rout to work at a different time. Either I’m very good at picking the roads that are closed for construction and ground down to danger gravel, or all of the roads & sidealks in Camberville are simultaneously being redone (except Beacon/Hampshire, my usual route.)
I probably overdressed for a work event today but I really wanted to bike in a suit to see how driver behavior changed.
Result: Extra yields (even when they had right of way) & zero honks. Also lots of stares from pedestrians.
Here’s a joke. A northeastern student walks into a bike… or Why did the northeastern student cross the road? Well, he tried but he wasn’t looking and walked into a cyclist.
@Bilbo_Haggins I thought it was Department of Car Racing. Because that’s the sound I hear all night from the DCR road near me (along with the occasional crash sounds and approaching sirens.)
