Because women, even those who are employed for $, do 90% (just a guess, what’s yours) of the UNPAID domestic labor, taking their time & energy away from the labor market
Patriarchy is built on individual & communities & societies of men in forcing this unfair, unpaid labor on women, making them, in the most sexist cultures, de facto chattel
Labor statistics that do not take account domestic work, WHICH HAS FUNDAMENTAL VALUE, both reveal & support patriarchy

I get that
I spent my career not directly engaging—much, directly—with the right, but with hundreds of their children as a subversive pub school teacher
So I miss the high-energy engagement of that and was using birdland as a substitute (my current job title!) for that energy
Maybe I just need to chill here with like-minded ppl and get on with my writing and music
I have noticed that really great toots go virtually uncommented upon, unreplied to

Greatly enjoyed your summation of the case against capitalism
I do feel like we left the bird land battle zone for a cozier place behind the lines
I loved chirping w/ like-minded people there, but also felt like I could occasionally vanquish a MAGAite & frequently draw uncommitted searchers away from their grasp by educating them
Here there are fewer opps for direct engagement w/ the right
