I just want to figure out what's going on without tripping over bullies and getting all depressed. Happy to be here. Design, Media, & Tech prof. Interested in everything related, cyberlaw especially, plus web accessibility, meteorology, genealogy, and all sorts of cool things that manage to get my wandering attention. I'm inordinately fond of cats, Ireland, Aotearoa/New Zealand, and democracy.

Corporations are people. Embryos are people. Is there anything MAGAs don't think are people?

Oh, right. Women.

@mho Those of us on both Threads and Mastodon are hopeful for the day that all short form blogging platforms federate and tools are created for easy posting wherever the topic takes you.
Wow. NPR covered Mike Johnson and Dominionism in clear, unvarnished terms. Granted, it was on one of their podcasts, rather than directly on-air, but it still surprised me to hear them out-and-out say the word:

@bodhipaksa When someone misread "Join Mastodon" and wrote a news story about Twitter deleting the account for "John Mastadon." It was cool to see all the commentary here!

Folks: AI will solve all the world’s problems.

Meanwhile, AI: Uh, I drew you a hand with six fingers, I hope you like it.

Okay--hear me out. An app that combines Mastodon, Threads, and Blue Sky feeds? (X can't play.) Maybe color-coded or identified some other way for accessibility? I would love that. It's a transitional time, I understand, but wouldn't it be cool to get the best from each platform?
