Giving KDE Plasma some unix vibes. It seems to have problems with my scaling configuration. Should be ok on larger screen with 100% scaling.

X220 screen is getting worse, the classic stripes issue. I got the older 30 pin big connector, these are quite hard to come by (already ordered 2 wrong ones).

New displays costs around $50. But today I found used Thinkpad x230 for $80 in great condition. I'm really tempted 😇.

This naughty boy got a big cleanup and new thermal paste. Initially just wanted to check the screen (you can see the glitches). Good I did it, the paste was completely dry!

It glitched even more after assembly, but it stops after some time. Couldn't find any bad contact, perhaps some damage from pressure on the lid.

Overall the laptop was in great condition, it was probably docked. Not much dust, but I still kept sneezing when using it. Much better now! #x220 #thinkpad

Massive chill with #openbsd. Got it installed, now eating chips, reading Absolute Openbsd by M.W. Lucas and trying some stuff.

Surprised how many things worked out of the box! Backlight controls, wifi drivers and more.

Drinking some Oolong tea while installing BSD on the Thinkpad x220. I bought it with display glitch, it showed only now. Not a big deal, I'll take it apart, clean it and check all the contacts. But that will have to wait for the weekend .
