3. Back in San Antonio. This was the generic hotel bar that didn’t have Stagg in their system so I got a pour for $8
4. My favorite bottle of the year at my favorite bar - The Bitter Bar in Boulder. James made a Boulevardier that blew my mind. I loved talking with him and Keim
5. Louisville. I ran the Urban Bourbon Half with a friend from Drinkstagram and got to meet @bourbongoggles and spend time in his basement speakeasy
2022 Favorites. When I think back on the year, my favorite pour and moments have largely happened on trips. I like to find a good bar and talk with the bartender to see what they’re into.
1. This was at Bar 1919 in San Antonio where I spent less than $100 and tried LOTS of things
2. For our 25th anniversary we went to Vail. While there we did a tasting at Breckinridge Distillery that turned out to be another great chat with more bottles grabbed to try
My son had his wisdom teeth removed today and wanted to play a game with me. We started with chess, and after a year or two of him whipping me I managed a win!
I printed this chess set with wooden filament that I stained. I’m so happy with how they turned out.
The small, etched glass goblet is from Collins & Coupe in San Diego. The pour is William Heavenhill Bottled in Bond, distillery-only release, orange label. I forget the year. It’s delicious and almost gone.
