Before college I worked at a grocery store and initially I bagged groceries and gathered the carts

I always wonder if this meme is put out there by some penny pinching Kroger executive trying to justify paying off more of their bottom line workers.

My perception though is of a small grocery store with like 20 carts max and gathering up wasn’t a big deal…having seen how many the guys at Costco pull at once looks pretty rough on the other hand

What’s funny is battlefield to me was always just a chill game I used to play to do whatever. More for fun and blowing off steam with very little consequence of death. Like if someone was cheating in battlefield i hardly ever care. I also don’t remember a huge ranked or competitive scene for the battlefield genre but I could be ootl cause I haven’t played since 4

Compared to games like Tarkov or DayZ which have a lot more consequence tied to death.

One I hate that I am unsure of a term for but I call it “Family time” is when a show or movie makes everyajor twist revolve around the main characters family…

Star Wars is a great example that no one notices it in

Darth Vader is Lukes father Leia his sister

Both rolls could have worked without those twists

But it is far worse in other shows and series or even ruins them for me

Fringe was ruined by it imo

Slow horses is falling into this trap with season 4

It’s a cheap ploy to try and make the moment or stakes more dramatic by involving the characters in ediate family as ploys or villains. At the same time it just feels out of place most of the time that the entire world these characters are in revolve around 1 family.

So many shows use this trope but I don’t even see a proper term calling it out and at the same time it has ruined so many shows and just shows a lazy writing or plot narrative.

The author does not know how to write for the dramatic response they want the audience to have for the villain or ploy so they make some dramatic reveal that their family member was secretly involved making it more difficult for the main characters to make decisions or take action.

I wish this would happen

When I first played it the setting and such seemed so cool…but the story and dialogue are actually quite cringe and cliche.
