faking enthusiasm is just not something i can do unless it's literally a part to play on stage, because then it's not fake

my reticence to just 'go with the flow' when things don't make any sense is probably also why i was ill-suited to being around rowdy types who make their hay out of a reverse conformity

something i've always struggled with is joining in on things that feel like they're just a gesture, like a group cheer or chant or whatever, there's just something about it that I could never get over
