I am absent of mind, and my vessel vacant. Face forever expressionless, for I am a hollow.
@JaseEW better to hose it in early stages, than in the end..

Linus is up to his old rants again, and I think for a pretty good reason. In general, devs just don't tie a feature to a feature for the hell of it, or because it sounds like a good idea. You can read more about it here: https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=UEFI-Kernel-Lockdown-Concerns

Telemetry!?!? Tracking everything a user does, to improve the product/application, at the cost or expense of the user's privacy. We as users must take responsibility, and take back our privacy, one application/device at a time. Stop letting Corpocrats profit from our daily lives. Let them know you value yourself and privacy. 🤔 #RR
It is interesting that Easter Sunday and April Fools, occur on the same day. Does this mean that Religion is a Joke? #F4T🤔
@tatpap I believe we had about 2k+ of users most of all who were IT, a few odd balls.
@MTomic Correct. A British company called Piriform, is a sub to the parent of Avast. However, threatpost has been reliable source of information, so I don't have any reason to doubt it.
Do you have a friend or family member, who relies on the CCleaner for Windows? Apparently it has a backdoor built in that was designed to allow an attacker to deploy a keylogger. See here: https://threatpost.com/ccleaner-attackers-intended-to-deploy-keylogger-in-third-stage/130358/
CCleaner Attackers Intended To Deploy Keylogger In Third Stage

As investigations continue about the backdoor that was planted in CCleaner, Avast said it has found that the actors behind the attack were planning to install a third round of malware on compromised computers.

Therefore, it might just be possible to recover the lost data, and merge it with the new accounts being created here.
So, I can see my user still exists within the decentralized federation after Mastodon.rocks had the data loss. I think this is possible, because I had an account on another server which served a purpose to follow my main account.
