The Festival of Visual Arts opens its exhibition Strange lands still bear common ground on Friday in Galway, Ireland. Among the works presented is Bamssi, Mourad Ben Amor’s tender portrait of displacement and longing, where dogs appear as quiet, loyal companions in a Tunisian domestic landscape.
We’re extra proud to announce that Bamssi was awarded Best Prize @saff.kr - the Seoul Animal Film Festival in Korea this week-end! Congratulations to Mourad and his loyal companion!
@kortfilm.be selected a bunch of beautiful short films for @breedbeeldkortfilmfestival.

In the company of the camera, the lines easily turn into a voice over that, merely by listening and looking attentively, in turn gradually transforms into a dialogue across languages, across cultures, across generations.
08/11 20h00 at @decinema_ Fairuz will be there for a Q&A

Memory, history and human existence are the key elements in the work of Belgian documentarian Annik Leroy.
She invites viewers to reflect, as her films are not only about what is shown but also about what is implicit. Or, as one critic wrote about her work: "It is an invitation to look, to feel, and to explore oneself more deeply".
CINEMATEK Brussels has given Annik Leroy carte blanche to present her films in combination with those of other filmmakers. (23/10 - 30/11)

Architecture and film are constantly looking at each other in a piece in which “angle”, “transition”, “cut”, “sequence”, “frame”, “ joint”, “ fold “ and “rhythm” are notions that are spread from one discipline to the other as if the camera and editing would be reading the space as a composition score.
