Linux/Windows dual boot question - Lemmy.world

If I have Linux installed on an SSD and I plug it into a Windows computer (a PC which I did not use to install linux onto the SSD), would I be able to use linux in that PC from the SSD?

Debian and Mint are my favorites. I love the included games in Debian, the UI for both (Using cinnamon), and their ease of use.
Valheim! The graphics may look like a PS2/XBOX Game, but it is very fun.

Top 3:

  • Minecraft - Probably over 1000 hrs
  • Stardew Valley - 491 hrs
  • Sims 3 - 425 hrs
  • While NixOS looks interesting, it seems like a security flaw to store the functions of the OS in a single file. Your thoughts?

To me, it doesn’t sound as secure since if something happened to that file (deleted, corrupted, etc.), the whole OS could get destroyed.
