Cold interstellar medium tracers, such as dust continuum and [OIII] and [C II] line observations with ALMA and JWST can probe the current and future star formation activity of UV-bright galaxies. To date, about ten galaxies have been spectroscopically confirmed at z > 10; two with ALMA line observations but their detailed nature, their excitation mechanisms and their evolutionary state have remained unclear, Cold interstellar medium tracers, such as dust continuum and [OIII] and [C II] line observations with ALMA can probe the current and future star formation activity of UV-bright galaxies.

An earthquake struck near ALMA but very deep. Array operations were not impacted.
