Hunger weakens pride, thirst humbles the ego, and long nights of prayer wash away hardness that built up over the year. Ramadan teaches us to slow down, ask forgiveness sincerely, and remember that one day we will stand before Allah with nothing but our deeds.

Fasting in Ramadan is not just about feeling hungry or tired; it is about training the soul. When you choose to stay away from food, drink, and desires for the sake of Allah, you learn self-control—proving that you are not a slave to habits, urges, or comfort. Hunger softens the heart and opens the eyes, helping you feel the pain of those who live with less every day, building real empathy, not just words. Most importantly, fasting grows God-consciousness (taqwa):
