@GottaLaff Good for you! Chemlawn drift damages some of the plants in my organic garden. I planted a thick holy hedge the entire length of the property to help prevent drift. Take care

The real scoop about carbon capture

https://insideclimatenews.org/news/27092020/exxon-carbon-capture/
"Exxon Touts Carbon Capture as a Climate Fix, but Uses It to Maximize Profit and Keep Oil Flowing. The company sells the CO2 to other companies that use it to revive depleted oil fields. . . "

It began capturing the CO2 and selling it to other companies, which injected it into depleted oil fields to help produce more oil." (Massive amounts of this CO2 then escape back into the atmosphere.)

Exxon Touts Carbon Capture as a Climate Fix, but Uses It to Maximize Profit and Keep Oil Flowing - Inside Climate News

Sprawled across the arid expanse of southwestern Wyoming is one of the world’s largest carbon capture plants, a hulking jumble of pipes, compressors and exhaust flues operated by ExxonMobil. The oil giant has long promoted its investments in carbon capture technology—a method for reducing greenhouse gas emissions—as evidence that it is addressing climate change, but […]

@Free_Press "Extraordinary" is not the word I would use. It's horrifying.
@peterdutoit We are not / will not stop burning fossil fuels in time. There is absolutely no reason to think we will. "Green" energy, which requires fossil fuels to build, not to mention environmentally destructive mining (colossal mining projects), cannot provide the excessive amount of energy consumed worldwide. This is a fantasy.
@UncensoredNews Third party that takes away Dem votes would put Trump in power, period, stop. I don't like it, but it is reality. The world cannot afford another Trump presidency.
@Free_Press It will get worse, and there is no stopping it. To stop it, the entire globe would have to cease burning fossil fuels now. That's not happening, and it's not going to happen.
@breadandcircuses It is worth a try. At least, you feel like you are doing something positive.
@GottaLaff I'm sure you take wonderful care of your dog and want what is best for your dog. I live in a neighborhood where many of the homeowners use chemlawn. I've owned a small pup boarding business (day job) for years, I've actually seen dogs whose owners use chemlawn develop cancer on their paws. I honestly don't allow my dogs to step in fertilizer. If I walk my dogs in my neighborhood, I do not allow them to step off the road into my neighbors' yards if they use chemlawn.
@breadandcircuses I agree with every word you said. However, I'm afraid the points you make are moot. I honestly don't think there's a ghost chance in hell that we will halt global warming, or even slow it down. I see big corporations only getting bigger, more powerful, and more destructive. Governments will become increasingly undemocratic, if not fascist. If we have ten good years left, I will be surprised.
