Overall yes this is wonderful progress that more cities need to adopt

Wait I’m confused. Why is this post in mildly infuriating? It gives the sense that the progress made in this city over the years has been negative. However the newer image looks a lot nicer than the old image and has fewer roads which means most likely traffic in other areas has been improved to take the load that the removed roads use to handle.

Am I missing something? Am I not in on the joke? Or is this some sort of political thing?
