Lissa. 32. She/her. Lez bean, space engineer, trans lady, newbie jeweler, witch, some kinda leftist, part of a very densely interconnected polyball.
Watching aerial silk videos. 1: gorl pretty 2: ooh music and dance pretty 3: OMG SHE IS GOING TO DIE
Someday linguists are going to wonder why lesbians started adding extra "r"s after vowels in the middle of words and they'll never figure out it's because I thought it was fun to say "gourd jorb" and "gourd plarn" instead of "good job" and "good plan" and then my polycule picked it up
I still don't really get fedi culture. Is it weird to reply to a post from someone I don't know if I have a relevant or amusing thing to add? When I have done that OP doesn't seem to mind but I also don't see anyone else really do it, so idk.
New house!!!!!!!!!
Like how do I tell a Carthian player for example to check out more detail than the few pages from core about their covenant? Hand them the Carthian book and hope they don't come back saying "but wait who's Kerza?" Like, the entire history of the Circle has been scribbled out and rewritten (better imo) so I can't just say "yeah this book's stuff still applies" but what do I tell my players who want to know what a CrĂșac ritual is like and how to construct one of their own??
And the Covenants have changed juuust a little so now I'm not sure how much of the 1e content still applies! Like obviously the old CrĂșac rituals for example are out, but a LOT of the content is about "what is it like to exist in this covenant and how does it change the way you think about the world" and that shit? GONE.
I mean I've been playing and running Requiem for like 15 years so I can populate a damn covenant with interesting NPCs and stuff but like, I wanted something to show my players! I wanted them to be able to dig into the philosophy and politics of their Covenants without having to go back to the 1e texts!
It's like... Appendix A: Actual Content You Bought The Book For, But Less Of It Than You Expected
Of all the things Onyx Path could have done the same way White Wolf did, why did they pick "making 88% of the content in a supplement book useless filler fluff"??? At least the 1e covenant books had content, why couldn't they have done something like that in Secrets of the Covenants??
I made all my girls the marinara sauce whose recipe I have painstakingly developed over the past 10 years and all of them loved it, even @calamity_dyke who hardly likes any of the same foods as me!
