Arrived today published in 1944 - some hints on how to run a discussion group. Including controlling discussions and using humour.
When I held a pop-up book stall in my neighbourhood back in September, the book that sold more than all the others put together was a beginners guide to politics. Aimed at ten year olds. This is in Cambridge. Which made me re-assess big time how much our city knows about the essentials of politics/current affairs.
So I wrote a thing about helping people find out more on a host of issues before the general election https://cambridgetownowl.com/2023/10/23/a-civics-discussion-series-for-cambridge-cambridgeshire/ ...using a series of books published locally for secondary schools. Just without the exams at the end. Making them suitable for adult learners too!
