@maccellar My grandma's iBook hard drive died about one month out of warranty. I had the pain of replacing that hard drive for her.

@billgoats Damn. I have a very comprehensively documented family tree. I know some ancestored lived in Canada, but it appears none ever became a Canadian citizen. Moved to CA, then moved out, no births or deaths in CA.

I also miss out on Irish citizenship-by-descent by one generation. (My dad can apply, but he would have to have done so before I was born for me to also qualify.)

@RoguePlayer Don’t deify Jobs. He likely would be doing it, too. Any public performance to keep Apple from having to feel the effects of Cheeto’s “policy of the hour” whims.

It’s “protect the company” BS. All the tech CEOs are doing it. Which is legitimizing Drumpf’s behavior even more. It ain’t good, but at this point, claiming things about Jobs is ridiculous.

@marcoarment While I see Cook’s actions not as personal agreement and support for Mango Mussolini, but as “hedging corporate bets,” that doesn’t make it any better.

I’m due for a phone upgrade this year. I really hope Apple reverses course on their support for a trumped-up government before it’s time to buy.
