Finally got the contents of two rooms put back together after a number of projects around the house made chaos of them. The one with art supplies is always trending towards chaos, the other is a sitting and exercise space that work in the adjacent attics made a hash of, then going through stuff we put in the walls made it worse, there was stuff left out from the holidays, etc.
Just wishing my clients could remember the important things I tell them about their projects.
You remind your client and their contractor over and over that there are changes being made that will require a structural engineer. They nod and say that they do have "someone they work with" and the plans progress. Months later: panicked call that the city won't approve the plans without plans from a structural engineer "because (I) put 'See Structural Plans'" where the bearing walls are being removed and columns and beams put in. It really doesn't matter how many times I say it..
OMG it's WORKING!!! I'm leaving Facebook, and I asked for emails so I can start a mailing list, and it's working. I'm stoked! I was feeling so alone in this. But maybe I'm not after all.
Light work day, probably more organizing around the house once that's wrapped up.
Measuring an existing restaurant and a vacant quick loan facility. Drawings next.
Hoping this is a great option for posting thoughts and activities.
