Thank you for all of your help with this grief. Here are two of Bob's likely progeny, neutered and sheltered. Melvin, the tabby found while I was gardening. The following summer, he brought 3 feral kittens. All three kittens plus Melvin (plus my shelter adopted girl) are my babies. 🥰
@DeliaChristina ugh this story stresses me out because I can totally relate! 🥰 Cheers to the new year bringing fewer Excel imbeciles!! And cheers to even fewer incidents that involve us witnessing the incompetence (<--I had to thesaurus this word to trade my original choice for tastefulness 🤣)
Also, my family and I will bury Bob in our yard tomorrow in honor of my neighbor who was Bob's primary caretaker. Bob's caretaker was Carlos who just also passed away suddenly and unexpectedly the week of Thanksgiving. 😭 #RIP to both Carlos and Bob.
@ducktapepr OMG 2 weeks?! I planned to test repeatedly for a few days but I'll have to order more tests. All three of us have actually been fortunate to evade infection for the whole three years! But we did just spend 7+ hours with my family so it would be surprising if we escape this time!
A three pack of stray dogs attacked one of our neighborhood stray cats today. Bob, so named because of his bobtail, did not make it. Bob has ruled this block since we moved in 5.5 years ago. I've socialized and taken in four strays since moving in (all now sterilized). They are likely Bob's progeny. I reported the incident to animal control. I am not confident of any follow-up. I am so super freaking sad that Bob's life ended at all but especially like this. 😭 #rip#CatsOfMastodon#Catstodon
My spouse and daughter and I have tested negative for covid after learning three of our family members from a recent holiday gathering are positive. #noCovid#soGrateful
@quirkypastor@QasimRashid I actually struggle to understand. Like, I genuinely listen respectfully to opposing views and try to see it but the hypocrisy is a brick wall for me everytime. 🤷♀️ #religiouszealots
