@dgar it is worrying to realise the lack of knowledge or appreciation many people have for art.

Art is one of the driving forces behind human culture and society itself and has been since before history. Art is literally everywhere, I mean even something like a building is a form of art, I.e. architecture.

Art, or in other words - creativity, design - encompasses almost every aspect of human life

@textualdeviance absolutely not what I was going for but sure, draw whatever conclusion makes you happy
@RodneyPetersonTalent do you have anything to say other than a not so subtle ad hom?

@mariyadelano the idea of a political spectrum is flawed in and of itself.

The right, without realising or admitting, naturally believe in many of the fundamental left wing principles. That is because these are literally what makes society function.

However the "left" is absolutely rife with authoritarianism and the populism that goes along with it.

Left-libertarians really should not resemble anything on the right. The term "libertarian" was actually appropriated by the right.

@textualdeviance because I think there are many more factors involved. I don't think hatred of a specific proposed group really benefits anyone, well except for our overlords. In fact, that's exactly what they want to happen because it is incredibly beneficial for maintaining the status quo.

But I do recognise that these men make up the ruling class in America. And the same men, with different skin colour, race and religion do the same in other countries. However, the prerequisites of white, cishet christian male do not automatically make someone evil.

I suppose really what I am trying to say is both that that categorization of people doesn't take into consideration poverty, addiction, mental illness, disability, homelessness and a whole host of other things; and that nobody is a winner under whatever form of hellish neo-liberalism exists, not even the billionaires or politicians, because the entire thing is completey unnatural and isn't healthy for any human being.

@textualdeviance for one, I'm not part of that group. For two, I'm not from the USA. But if you're not aware of the complex hierarchical systems present in America I would suggest doing some basic research
@textualdeviance being part of that specific grouping does not absolve one from the oppressive systems of the USA. The nature of the game is that everyone is being subjugated, some more than others.
@ciggysmokebringer I see, it's good that you're well informed. Funnily enough amphetamine, or more specifically speed paste, is what was brought to mind when I read the word "stims". That stuff is very cheap in Europe and in my opinion more dangerous than the hugely popular cocaine, due to the aforementioned and the fact that the high lasts a ridiculously long time. As in, a decent recreational dose taken at the beginning of the night would result in being unable to sleep until well into the next day. Going past two days is when shit starts to get weird for a lot of people, but then there are/were people like Lemmy who could seemingly take as much as he pleased.
@ciggysmokebringer Stimulants will fuck your shit up. If you want your personality to gradually become more and more dysfunctional, keep abusing stimulants. For a truly dedicated stim abuser, psychosis is guaranteed - and please don't take that as a challenge.
