Must admit, as a person from a refugee/migrant background I bristled seeing some people self-describe as “Twitter #refugees” in the #birdsite exodus.

I like to assume good intent until shown otherwise; so rather than condemn/call this out, I want to instead use this moment to invite everyone to reflect on the struggles of refugees, in particular people displaced by war and climate change, and signal boost ways to help.
