@stux I run Linux and Windows and like both, so with that in mind...
I'll pitch in with a Pro-Windows response and positive reply and say #AutoHotkey is the best Windows program. 😀
@stux You and a Bot are my only followers lol. Of course, I'm only days new to this platform at all.
The way I see it, you're actively helping people connect, so thanks. 👍
@youcantoo Here's a clip of one. https://youtu.be/ILgGuFDO3UQ
this one is not as dramatic as some that i have seen, but they will do this "Broken WIng" behavior away from their nest to lure predators away from the eggs.
Many of the bike trails here have river rock landscaping at the sides, especially through neighborhoods, so the kill dear often lay their speckled eggs in them (and they're very difficult to spot). You know a nest is close if you see one doing this.
@possum thanks for the reply!
by public, do you mean "Federated"? I don't see a Public link/section. and Federated seems so busy that I can't keep up with the feed 😅
If i'm using filters to search for a topic, does setting the view first (Local/Federated) make the difference, or does the filter search everything by default?
Is anyone able to better help me understand the Mastedon Instances?
I'm under the impression that they are similar to subreddits in reddit, and so I had joined this instance since it seemed more general than specialized, but now i'm unable to find the rules/guidelines of the instance.
Also.. Home & Local, I assume Local is everyone on this instance, and Home is only my feed/followers/personal responses etc.?
Sorry for the noob questions
@youcantoo I've been dive-bombed by birds on walks before, its not fun expecially when they chase after you for 100 yards haha.
Have you ever walked by rocky areas where Kill Deer lay eggs? Now that's some interesting behaviour. They lay eggs on the ground among rocks. if you get near, they will flail about on the ground, looking injured, luring you away from the nest as a distraction.
@youcantoo These birds make the coolest sounds.
A bike trail near my house goes into a place loaded with cat-tails and its always fun to walk through that area to hear them.

I, too, don't understand the backlash of the minor inconvenience of wearing a mask. Other cultures have adopted this for decades as a means of being courteous to one another, yet my social feed would indicate that wearing a mask somehow equates to having one's rights taken away.
