I'm glad that you don't think that it's hard and that it doesn't seem to limit your use of the site. For some people it's quite the effort and the expectation is definitely something that's limited my use of the sites before. You should keep doing it if you can, but I don't think peer pressure and saying that bringing topics up is unnecessary is a good way of trying to build a better community.
