Sound a bit like The Sims is having a “sense of pride and accomplishment” moment and I’m absolutely here for it as well!
Dungeon Crawler Carl has to be one of my top two favorite reads in the last year (I’d give it the top spot, but Red Rising was also really good)! It’s a struggle to convey just what makes it so good, but it’s been a fantastic ride. I can’t wait for the next book in May!
I don’t recall seeing this one specifically, but you may enjoy Soren Iverson’s work. He posts a bunch of satirical/ dystopian UI mockups like this.

Evidently, Ring Of Wealth also guarantees higher level item drops (1+level /2 unless the formula has changed), I dug up this post where someone else did basically the same thing. So a lv15 ring would guarantee a minimum of +8.

I haven’t had all that many Rings of Wealth runs, but that seems incredibly stacked. Also kind of makes me wish found items naturally had a bit more scaling than the odd +1 from a state of cursed +3 from the imp…

So..... I tried I ring of wealth run for the first time - Lemmy.World

This was my first real ring of wealth run and I think I went a little overboard. I got a seed that had a cursed +2 ring of wealth on floor 1. I knew right then and there what I had to do… I died a horrible death to a flaming crab champion (9 challenges) on floor 3 and cried. Then I remembered that I could use the seed and just do the run for pure enjoyment. It was a blast! I had a +4 ring by floor 2 which was kind of crazy. All scrolls went into that! I eventually found another +2 ROW and together with my +17 I was able to farm some +10 items and was eventually able to get another +10 ring. Transmuted that into Arcana and used the multiplicity curse on myself to spawn thousands of succubi… I tanked their hits with my greatshield while they fell to their gruesome deaths below. Lots of fun! 10/10 stars! Seed: SJF-KWH-NPJ I’m on 2.1.4 though so it may not work for beta

Which fork is this?

I’ve been playing Shattered for a long time and I’ve never seen that many upgrade scrolls in a single run.

I’m partial to OVVO, I tend to be pretty hard on frames (-8 prescription, I can’t not wear glasses), but the two pairs I’ve had have been nigh indestructible- deceptively sturdy especially given how thin and light they are. (Bonus points for not being part of the eyeglass cartel too)

Mix and match login managers and desktop environments - Lemmy.World

Hi, I think I’ve run out of keywords to hit Google with, so it’s time to ask for help. I’m running Fedora on my Framework 16, which is domain joined to my home lab Active Directory. Overall I’m pretty happy with KDE, but SDDM is proving to be rather bothersome (it’s not a huge fan of my domain account, and constantly forces me to enter my creds in the other user free form, which prevents me from using my fingerprint sensor to login). For grins, I tried out the GDM display manager and was able to both pick my account from the list of users and use my fingerprint to log in. That said, I’m not a particularly huge fan of the GNOME look and feel. So, I was wondering if it would be possible to use just the GDM login prompt, but have it feed into KDE desktop and if so what I’d need to tinker with to configure it. (I feel like it should theoretically be possible, but it’s not strictly a deal breaker- worst case the next Fedora update in April is supposed to be replacing SDDM with a new fork)

This. A scrum master’s job should be first and foremost making sure that the dev team has what it needs to get real actual work done. Ideally, the scrum master should be face tanking face tanking status/ update meeting, coordinating with outside entities, and ensuring that as few distractions make it to the team as possible.

ASL can count as high as you need to, it gets kind of tedious after about a 999, because of all the place markers that need to be added in (like manual counting, or spelling out a number on a check), but one can sign up to 999 with a single hand. for numbers up to 99, it’s more or less using the chart above. For everything after that you mark the hundreds place with the letter C and then go on the rest of the number (476, would be signed 4 C 76). Beyond that, it’s just a matter of adding on the place value signs for “THOUSAND”, “MILLION”, etc. (which are two handed signs) so, 456,789 would be signed as 4 C THOUSAND 56 7 C 89.

The exception to this would be strings of numbers, like phone or room numbers, where you sign them much like how they’d be spoken. So when directing someone to room 235, you’d just sign 2 35 (the concept of hundreds isn’t really important here, because in most cases, the leading 2 just means the room is on the second floor).
