I've been playing online Doom using source ports since the early 2000's. I love multiplayer Doom, and I was always sad that it felt like that part of the game never got the recognition it deserved, since Carmack didn't figure out smooth Internet play until Quakeworld.
This lobby list right here? Full of people playing classic Doom, many of whom are playing multiplayer Doom for the first time? _This was the dream_.
