YEV, why EV the hate? Ep7

I’ve wanted to see Orbital live since I was a teenager, and last week I finally ticked that box. Caught the Bristol leg of the Green and Brown album tour, and came away desperate for more. So much so that I’m going to see them again in September. If you get the chance, go.
Fulfilled a long-held ambition to see Orbital live yesterday. What a blinding set. Green album, then Brown, then an explosive encore exploring their later work. Bristol Beacon is a great venue, too.
The supercharger is going away for a service. Peace of mind, as I’m fairly sure it’s fine but I’d rather know for sure.
Polo G0.
The other one was a short wheelbase ICE version. So not quite identical but close enough to be worth a photo.
Found a car friend!

Sat reading my emails in the car earlier, I heard a thud which sounded like something hitting it. When I looked up, a girl’s face was at the back window. I figured she’d hit it with her suitcase, so I got out to look.

Nope, she had one foot on the back bumper and was tying her laces.

“What on earth are you doing?!”

She looked sheepish. Her boyfriend grabbed a napkin and wiped the mud and stones off the bumper.

“Oh. Sorry.”

“Why woild you think that’s ok? What were you thinking?”

Crazy.

I’ve just seen the term “workation” (work-vacation) used on LinkedIn, and I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a concept to die more quickly.

Your holidays are your own. Just because tech means you *can* work doesn’t mean you should.

I have several issues with generative AI, but this is up there. Photos and videos capture a full spectrum of human experiences, from the banal to the world-changing.

AI, no matter how realistic, no matter how visually stunning, will never and can never do this.
