@tomiahonen I'll step in it here- he was my first choice in '20 because he wasn't a "unicorn" candidate- he wasn't a "radical lefty" overpromising shit. His experience- and, yes, flaws- are what made him my choice. Looking back at what he's managed to accomplish in 3 years after the abject decimation of trumpism & covid, the economic recovery, the rebuilding of infrastructure, the restoration of global equity lost and a host of other shit that seems to be lost on far too many, the argument can be made that he has indeed surpassed Obama's achievements, and has yet to stop.
If all goes well and the math pans out- the next 4 years will be epic for everyone, including those that hate the concept of The United States of America.
Fuck 'em not so gently with a telephone pole.
(said pole being on fire is optional)
cheers, man- you're genuinely missed over on the dead bird.
@tomiahonen CNN's new ownership decided to try'n take a bite out of FOX's base- there's more money to behad in fertilizer than there isis seeds- but forgot that that demographic despises CNN and will never cross over.
they've effectively destroyed whatever cred they had with their base viewers and are hemorrhaging money like Rudy sheds hair dye.
ad revenue has reached current twitter levels.
@tomiahonen he's kinda gone off the adderails on EJ Carroll today- 4 dozen posts, all things that'd a decent medico'd call an obsession.
I think he's got a crush on her.
@mattgemmell it's a double-edged blade; we relied on basic rules imprinted upon us from birth, and reinforced in a variety in ways thereafter, that there were lines one simply did not cross. you don't enflame or incite, you don't insult, but respect, you carry the weight of all to share the burden instead of allowing another to fall.
we lost our way long, long ago.
@rbreich it amuses, knowing he's benefited from the better part of $12b in grants, and the shell-game he's played with stock swaps, carbon credit offsets, tax avoidances, etc- it's almost admirable how he's managed to keep that ball in the air for so long.
ist just me or is there an inevitable Theranos moment in store for him at some point?
@memers08 Hiya- still stumbling around in the dark here, but yeah- seeing a lot of familiar names.
delighted to see you here too!
